Sean Berg
I’m a Senior UX and UI Designer working in the field since 2004. I have extensive work with hundreds of clients, created and sold my first startup company and am now working as a Senior UX Designer in Dublin. I also have a UX Design Certification with UX Management specialty (certification ID: 1031727) from the Nielsen Norman Group, the leading firm in user experience worldwide.
Work Experience
Workday
Senior UX Designer (July 2022 – present) – Dublin, Ireland
At Workday, I am currently working with the Learning platform team, providing my expertise in solving existing issues as well as helping create a North Star proof-of-concept on the future of mobile learning. Together with a team of developers, PMs, user interface designers, we work closely with stakeholders to find solutions and build a better product.
Mastercard Labs
Product Design Manager (July 2015 – July 2022) – Dublin, Ireland
Interface and experience design manager for the “Labs as a Service” (LaaS) Team. Here we create and develop labs-like solutions for third-party clients. Fore-fronting innovation is our core objective, and we’ve been bringing this to our clients by offering services like the Launchpad: a one week rapid prototyping product design sprint that moves from concept, to prototype to customer test in super fast time.
CR2
Consultant Lead UX Designer (January 2015 – July 2015) – Dubin, Ireland
At CR2 I was responsible for the interface design of their BankWorld Internet Banking Solution product, an internet banking webapp. This web application has to be accessible via desktop and mobile devices alike, without any decay on experience. There was a constant need to be in touch with the development group as well as project managers to ensure that the experience was consistent throughout all the different applications developed by CR2. Working with a multidisciplinary team, I help guide the release of the next major-feature release of BankWorld Internet Banking.
CapSo
Consultant Lead UX Designer (July 2014 – December 2014) – Dubin, Ireland
CapSo was a financial technology startup based in Dublin and New York. Here, I was responsible for the user experience and user interface of this project (at the moment in
stealth mode), finding solutions for a financial market niche and working very closely with the development team and product managers to create a unique product. During my time here, I’ve become familiarised with Grails, GGTS and AngularJS and can now apply my experience to other projects.
xCake
Co-founder and Lead UX Designer (May 2008 – April 2012) – Curitiba, Brazil
At xCake I would be the bridge between our team of designers and programmers and also offer solutions based on the clients needs. Although most of our clients were small, part-time bloggers, due to our creative and successful solutions some of them were able to abandon their day jobs and focus solely on their websites. Our most successful cases were clients that were able to increase their profits after our design and consulting services.
YellowIcon
Project Manager (November 2007 – September 2008) – Curitiba, Brazil
During my stay at YellowIcon, I dealt with worldwide clients and managed a small team of remote and local designers. One of my most successful cases at YellowIcon was the redesign of Google’s “Orkut”, at the time Brazil’s biggest social media website with over 33 million active users. Yellow’s clients also included big names in the tech industry, such as Apple and Symantec.
